Display of an F4U Corsair at the airshow at Mladá Boleslav airfield, commentated in Czech by the show's announcer. The aircraft is flown by David Friedrich.

What you see

The Corsair makes several passes in front of the audience, showing off its inverted gull wing. It closes with a low-speed pass and a final left turn before landing and taxiing in front of the spectators. At the end, the announcer thanks the sponsors' support, including Škoda Auto, the Central Bohemia region and the city of Mladá Boleslav, and notes that the airshow is held every two years.

The aircraft on display

According to the commentary, this airframe, number 124541, has a documented history because it still has its historical service card. The US Navy and Marine Corps kept a card like this for each aircraft, but many were lost. According to it, the aircraft belonged to the most famous Marine unit, known as the "flying nightmares." The announcer notes that these aircraft fought into the 1960s and could carry various combinations of rockets and bombs.
