Brief overview of the Douglas DC-3: a low-wing aircraft with retractable landing gear and a fuselage built mainly of aluminum, which was adopted by airlines and armed forces around the world.

According to the video, it reached a top speed of 346 km/h, exceeded 2,400 km of range and climbed to 7,000 m in altitude; it carried up to 32 passengers or 3,400 kg of payload, with two 14-cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp radial engines of 1,200 hp each. American Airlines and Eastern Air Lines were among its first operators, and in the Second World War it served as a military transport under the name C-47 Skytrain.

Despite its age, it still flies in remote areas and as a cargo aircraft in hard-to-reach regions.
