General Javier Sandoval Dueñas, chairman of the Mexico Aerospace Fair committee, said in an interview that FAMEX 2023 expects to exceed 90 aircraft in static display. They will be military and civilian: from the Mexican Air Force, the National Guard, the Attorney General's Office, the Federal Civil Aviation Agency and the Mexican Navy, plus aircraft from companies that will perform demonstration flights.

Teams from the United States Air Force will take part in the air show with F-16s, Chinook helicopters and a KC-135, which already attended the previous edition.

According to the general, over eight years the fair has established itself as the largest in Latin America. The Mexican aerospace industry, which produces interiors, doors, landing gear and engines in clusters across several states, places Mexico among the ten most important countries in the sector. The fair was due to be held from April 26 to 29 at Military Air Base No. 1 in Santa Lucía.
