2°Parte FAMEX 2023 Espectáculo Aéreo F-16✈😱 | @joaquinmoralesu
Video from the channel Joaquin Moralesu about FAMEX 2023 (Feria Aeroespacial México), linked on its Above Ten Thousand entry. Duration: 11:36. Language: Spanish. Video type: Air show.
Event and lineup
Second part of a vlog by an enthusiast with experience as a ramp worker, about his visit to FAMEX 2023, the Mexican aerospace fair. The video mixes explanations of ground operations with the airshow and the parachutists' jump.
What you see
On the ramp, the author points out how aircraft on display are marked off, with cones around the engines and wing halves, and how chocks are placed on the outer main-gear wheels. He also shows a tow bar set up for a Boeing 787 and explains what pushback is: the reversing manoeuvre that moves the aircraft off its stand. He adds that towing-tractor operators must have taken a course and hold a licence. Later, Navy and Mexican Air Force aircraft appear, along with an Embraer 195 open to the public.
The video closes with a parachutist jump, which the author follows by the shadows they cast on the ground. Some carry flags and one carries a longer accessory, and the author notes there are two women in the group.
The aircraft on display
The centrepiece is a jet fighter demonstration. The author highlights the noise of its passes, the lag between the aircraft going by and the engine noise arriving, a 360-degree manoeuvre and several linked turns, although the backlit sun makes it hard for him to follow at times.
