FAMEX 2023 Espectaculo aereo Base Aerea Militar Santa Lucia 🚀🪂🛫
Video from the channel Matiu Gamer about FAMEX 2023 (Feria Aeroespacial México), linked on its Above Ten Thousand entry. Duration: 15:57. Language: Spanish. Video type: Air show.
Event and team
An attendee films the Mexico Aerospace Fair (FAMEX) 2023 air show from the crowd at the Santa Lucía Military Air Base. The author comments on what he sees while the fair's PA system introduces the participants. Among them are the Mexican parachute rifle brigade and a parachute team from the United States Air Force Academy. That team is based in Colorado and made up of outstanding students from the basic parachuting course.
What you see
The video follows the program from the crowd's viewpoint: formation flypasts, including one by a group of six aircraft, parachute jumps and helicopters unfurling a flag. There are also demonstrations of operations that require surprise and speed. The narrator mentions cargo aircraft, tanker aircraft and helicopters among the participants, and the recording ends with two helicopters flying past.
The aircraft on display
The PA system explains some maneuvers. One is a full roll around the longitudinal axis without losing heading or altitude. Another is a 360-degree turn in formation, which demands great precision on the controls. Much of the footage is ambient sound and music, with little technical information about the aircraft.
