Bücker Bü 131 Jungmann SSH T-131PA
The Polish new-build Jungmann: SSH's production version with the 138 hp LOM M332AK engine, in production since 1995 for the sport and aerobatic market.
History
Half a century after German production ended, the Jungmann was built anew in Poland. According to the English and Spanish Wikipedias, the SSH company built four pre-production T-131Ps from 1994 with the Czech 78 kW (105 hp) Walter Minor 4-III, the same engine the post-war Aero C-104 had used. From them derived the T-131PA, with the 103 kW (138 hp) LOM M332AK, a supercharged Czech inverted four-cylinder that gives the biplane aerobatic performance superior to the original Hirths.
The T-131PA first flew in 1995. The English Wikipedia records three pre-production aircraft in 2012 and 29 production examples built by 2022, figures the census does not add together as they come from different tallies. Together with the Spanish CASA 1.131s that came onto the market after 1988 and the Bücker Prado rebuilds, SSH's production is what keeps the Jungmann available as a factory-fresh aircraft for classic and aerobatic pilots.
