This is followed by Polaris A3 missile launches from submarines, a Tiros atop a Thor-Delta, a Blue Scout, a Minuteman II, OSO-2, a Titan IIIA, the Pegasus satellite atop a Saturn, and the Ranger 8 probe atop an Atlas-Agena.

When and where it was filmed

Context

The narrator recalls that the first Gemini flight, an orbital one, took place on April 8, 1964, and that the program planned a series of 10 manned launches with flights of up to two weeks. The Titan IIIA of February 11 reignited its upper stage to pass through several orbits, and Ranger 8 sent back more than 7,000 images of the Moon before impact.
