McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II F-4M

The F-4M (Phantom FGR.Mk.2) equipped the Royal Air Force with Rolls-Royce RB.168-25R Spey Mk.202/203 turbofans, offering more thrust per engine than the General Electric J79s of the US versions (91.2 kN with afterburner), which increased combat radius and ferry range at the cost of a somewhat lower maximum speed. It reached Mach 2.07 at 12,192 m and could carry up to 7,257 kg of ordnance on the centerline and four underwing hardpoints, plus AIM-7 Sparrow and AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.
