History
The Canadian Britannias
On 1 April 1958 Canadian Pacific Air Lines took delivery of the first of its six Model 314s. Two Model 324s, built to 320 standard, joined them later and were sold by the airline to Cathay Pacific in 1961.
Canadian Pacific was one of the type's few North American customers. The variant designed expressly for that market, the Model 320, never came off: the Trans World Airlines order was not concluded and the two aircraft built were completed as Series 324s.
