BAe Jetstream Jetstream Super 31 (Jetstream 32)
The last evolution of the 31, with a further power increase. Planned in 1985, it flew in 1988 and is known interchangeably as the Super 31 or Jetstream 32.

History
The final step in power
In 1985, with the Jetstream 31 established in the market, British Aerospace planned another engine upgrade. The result flew in 1988 as the Jetstream Super 31, although fleet lists and certificates almost always call it the Jetstream 32.
It is the variant on which production of the lineage ended in 1993, by which time 386 Jetstream 31s and 32s had been built. In 1993 British Aerospace also turned Jetstream into a brand for its whole twin-turboprop range: the 31 and 32, the related Jetstream 41 and the BAe ATP rebadged Jetstream 61 — a name that was never used in service.
In service
The 32 still flies with regional and charter operators, mostly in the Americas. It has also suffered notable accidents well into this century, such as the engine fire aboard an Air Century aircraft in October 2014 and the loss of Aerolínea Lanhsa Flight 018 in March 2025.
