SpaceX Lands First Stage After Launching X-37B Space Plane
Video from the channel VideoFromSpace about SpaceX, linked on its Above Ten Thousand entry. Duration: 3:01. Language: English. Video type: Launch.
This is the final segment of SpaceX's broadcast of a mission for the United States Air Force, focused on recovering the Falcon 9's first stage.
The stage performs its reentry burn, slows below the speed of sound and carries out the landing burn with a single engine, which gives more control, as it passes through the clouds toward the concrete landing pad.
The first stage touches down with its legs deployed at Landing Zone 1. The broadcast highlights a trouble-free countdown despite the clouds, and a correct second-stage separation and ignition.
