A Flanker for air work only
The Su-27P was the standard version with the air-to-ground weapons control system and its wiring removed, assigned to Soviet Air Defence Forces units. In practice it was often designated simply Su-27, without the suffix. It was the basis of the two-seat Su-27PU, conceived to pass tactical data to single-seat interceptors and later renamed Su-30, which falls outside this entry.
