History

Initially designated F-110A Spectre by the USAF, the F-4C adapted the naval F-4B airframe to Air Force requirements, with dual flight controls and its own navigation gear. A number of airframes were later converted to the EF-4C Wild Weasel electronic-warfare configuration.
