The standard Aeroflot version, in service from 1961, with Ivchenko AI-20K turboprops and 90-100 seats. At 334 aircraft built up to 1965, it was the most numerous of the family.

History
The Il-18V drew on the experience of the earlier batches. Structurally it was identical to the Il-18B, but the interior was fully rearranged — the galley moved position — with minor system changes. The first example appeared in December 1959 and the version entered Aeroflot service in 1961, powered by four Ivchenko AI-20K engines and seating between 90 and 100 passengers.
Production ran until 1965 and reached 334 aircraft, the highest figure in the family. Many adaptations were built on its airframe: the Il-18V Salon for government transport, a single machine for Polar Aviation (Il-18V/polar), the Il-18V-26A with an auxiliary cabin tank, revised window layout and enlarged oil tanks under protruding nacelle fairings, a navaid calibrator operated by Interflug, two Il-18RT telemetry relay aircraft for rocket and unmanned vehicle trials, the Il-18USh navigator trainer and the Il-18VT military transport.
