In the real cockpit of a Boeing 737 MAX, a pilot shows how the aircraft is started up from cold and dark. He begins in the observer's seat with a general check: gear lever down, flap indicator and speed brake. He then runs through the procedure without speaking, with only the sounds of the aircraft.

At the end he explains that programming the FMCs is usually done before the overhead panel check. After the preparation flow, all that remains is entering the route and performance data before pushback.
