History
This is the most extreme proposal of the whole family: a maritime patrol aircraft with practically unlimited endurance thanks to an onboard nuclear reactor. The Soviet Union did test airborne nuclear powerplants on Tu-95 series airframes, but neither the Tu-114PLO nor any other Soviet nuclear-powered aircraft entered service. With no established engine type for the configuration, the sheet records it as "other".
