History
The commercial two-seater
The Su-27UBK is the export version of the Su-27UB combat trainer, carrying the same Kommercheskiy K as the single-seat Su-27SK. Both were developed in 1991 at the KnAAPO and Irkutsk plants and accompanied the single-seaters in contracts with China, Vietnam, Ethiopia and Indonesia. The Su-27UBK was also the starting point for the two-seat multi-role Su-30, which is a separate type.
