The Saab 2000FI is a specialised version of the Saab 2000 fitted out for flight inspection of air-navigation aids (radio aids, ILS, VOR) on behalf of the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB), which operates the aircraft at government level. Two examples were built exclusively for this Japanese customer and the type was not marketed to other operators.
