History

After the first three development airframes, six more were built in the Block 10 configuration and devoted to development testing and to validating the upgrades that would follow. The last two of the group reached a standard practically equivalent to that of production aircraft, to the point that the programme's official count groups them with the series. German documentation calls this configuration the "Initialversion", the Raptor's first complete standard.
