The P1 was the civil Bandeirante's workhorse: passengers in the morning, parcels at night, with nothing more than a cabin reconfiguration in between. Ryanair's first aircraft was of this family, a fifteen-seater with which the Irish carrier began service on 8 July 1985 and which it kept in the line until 1989.
