Bristol Britannia 313

The four Model 313s were built for El Al, which used them on transatlantic routes. While waiting for the last one to be delivered, the airline leased a former Series 305 redesignated Model 306, which would later become a 307.

For a few years the Britannia was the long-range aircraft of choice for European and Commonwealth carriers — BOAC, El Al, Canadian Pacific, Cubana — but its window was narrow: the Boeing 707 and Douglas DC-8 jets arrived almost immediately and the turboprop was relegated to freight and charter work.
