The 146-300QT applies the Quiet Trader formula to the long fuselage: it takes standard 2.74 by 2.24-metre pallets or LD3 containers and a maximum payload of 12,490 kilograms, with an operating empty weight of 23,126 kilograms once the passenger interior is removed. It remains the regional freighter of choice for night work at curfew airports: National Jet Express runs a fleet of 146-300QTs for Qantas Freight under a type-specific exemption that lets it move in and out of Sydney in the small hours.
