චීන්නුන්ට මෙච්චර වැඩක් පුළුවන් කියලා ඔයාලා හිතුවද? | Long March 10B Landing
Video from the channel October Sky about Long March 10B, linked on its Above Ten Thousand entry. Duration: 15:36. Video type: News.
What is announced
The video, narrated in Sinhala, explains the recovery of the Long March 10B's first stage on its maiden flight on July 10, launched from the LC-2 pad at the Wenchang commercial spaceport. While the second stage reached low Earth orbit, the cable system of the ship Linghangzhe caught the first stage. Lidar sensors calculate the stage's arrival point, four cables are positioned around it, and the stage's four hooks latch onto them.
Context
The narrator places the Long March 10B within the Long March 10 family, designed for China's crewed lunar program. The family's versions share a first stage with seven YF-100K kerosene/liquid-oxygen engines. The 10B carries no strap-on boosters, and its second stage uses a YF-219 methane/liquid-oxygen engine. If the first stage is recovered on a ship, it can carry 16 tonnes to low Earth orbit.
What it means
The video reviews the other Chinese launchers designed to recover their first stage. LandSpace's ZQ-3 debuted on December 3, 2025 without achieving the landing, and the Long March 12A also failed to on its maiden flight on December 23, 2025. CAS Space's Kinetica-2 reached orbit on its first flight on March 30, Tianlong-3 failed on its debut on April 3, and the Long March 12B reached orbit without attempting recovery. According to the narrator, China plans to relaunch the recovered stage before the end of the year.
