Orienspace's Gravity-1 made its second flight, designated Y2, on 11 October 2025, from a launch ship off the coast of Haiyang, in China's Shandong province, following its maiden flight in January 2024.

After liftoff, the rocket — with three stages and four solid-propellant boosters with steerable nozzles — carried out a roughly 40-degree turn to switch from a southeast heading to a south heading and meet orbital insertion requirements.

The mission placed three satellites into their planned orbits: a wide-field optical remote-sensing satellite and two experimental ones. The vehicle weighs about 405 t at liftoff, produces around 600 t of thrust, and can carry 6.5 t to low Earth orbit and 4.2 t to a 500 km sun-synchronous orbit.
