North Korea shoots down a US Navy EC-121M Warning Star

On 15 April 1969, North Korean MiG-21 fighters shot down a US Navy EC-121M Warning Star of reconnaissance squadron VQ-1 over the Sea of Japan, about 90 nautical miles off the North Korean coast. All 31 crew members were killed.
