Concorde returns to commercial service
November 7, 2001
After a safety modification programme on the airframe, normal commercial operations resumed on 7 November 2001 with British Airways and Air France, using G-BOAE and F-BTSD, on flights to New York JFK, where Mayor Rudy Giuliani greeted the passengers. The return came barely two months after the 11 September attacks.
