Combat evaluation "Skoshi Tiger" begins
October 1965
The US Air Force began the five-month "Skoshi Tiger" combat evaluation, delivering twelve F-5A aircraft (redesignated F-5C) to the 4503rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, which flew more than 2,600 combat sorties over South Vietnam and Laos from Bien Hoa and Da Nang air bases.
