Warbirds Over Wanaka 2028

The first show, in 1988, was the idea of the late Sir Tim Wallis, who staged it with his brother George and the Wanaka Lions Club in front of some 14,000 spectators; the organiser recalls that figure in presenting the edition that commemorates it. The final line-up will not be confirmed until much nearer the date, though the announcement itself points to the show's track record of bringing together aircraft from across New Zealand and overseas and the presence, most years, of modern air forces from the region.
