The channel interviews a technical captain of the Dominican Republic Air Force at FAMEX 2025, next to the TP-75 Dulus, the first aircraft assembled in the country. Its name comes from the national bird, the palmchat.

It is a two-seat aluminium military trainer with a Rotax 915 turbo engine, constant-speed propeller, retractable landing gear, built-in parachute, glass cockpit and autopilot. It has about 4 hours of endurance, rising to 6 with underwing tanks, and a flight-hour cost of under 100 dollars. It is used for initial, aerobatic and instrument flight training, as well as patrol duties.

According to the captain, the project is a partnership with the company FlyLegend. Seven aircraft are currently flying, and ten are expected by the end of the year.
