Report by Noticias Caracol from the Mexican Aerospace Fair (FAMEX) 2025, held at Military Air Base No. 1 in Santa Lucía, State of Mexico. The fair is biennial and brings together companies, governments and experts in defense, commercial aviation and aerospace technology; this edition had Brazil as guest country and at least 40 countries present.
The team flies aboard an A400M over Mexico City. Its crew presents it as both a strategic and tactical aircraft: with a maximum payload of 37,000 kg it can fly around 3,300 km and operate from short or poorly prepared runways. Captain Medel, who previously flew the C-130 Hercules, recalls the 2021 evacuation of Kabul as the toughest mission, in which they flew out more than a thousand people who had worked with Spain.
The report also shows a single-passenger drone designed for mobility, agriculture and rescue, and a company that provides humanitarian support to Colombia's National Police, with interventions such as the 2017 Mocoa flood and the health crisis in La Guajira.
