First-person account of a visit to the air show at the Mexico Aerospace Fair (FAMEX) 2021, held at Air Base No. 1 in Santa Lucía.
What you can see
The author first walks through a square on the base, with an aircraft on display and an off-road vehicle, and explains how entry worked: a negative covid test and exchanging the tickets bought online. Around eleven in the morning the show begins. Several aircraft take off and make passes one after another, most of the time with only music and applause from the crowd as a backdrop. At the end, the author mentions a second air show planned for the 25th.
The aircraft on display
Among the aircraft the narration identifies are a C-130 Hercules, whose take-off opens the show, and a Boeing 737-800.
