The Saab 2000 Airtracer is a long-range, high-endurance signals-intelligence (SIGINT) version built on the Saab 2000 platform. It integrates a complete communications-intelligence (COMINT) and electronic-intelligence (ELINT) system, electronic support measures (ESM), a self-protection system (SPS) and SATCOM data-link solutions, sharing commonality with the rest of the Saab 2000 airborne-surveillance family (the Erieye AEW&C and the maritime-patrol version). Declared applications include SIGINT, COMINT, ELINT, reconnaissance, targeting and national-security missions. Note: the reference material also describes an almost identical product marketed as «SIGSTAR» (source id 844); the captured sources do not make clear whether this is a rebranding of the same offer or a separate one, so it is recorded here as an unresolved discrepancy rather than merged or duplicated as a separate variant.
