Video from the channel Defense & Aerospace Report about Mitsubishi A6M Zero, linked on its Above Ten Thousand entry. Duration: 3:10. Language: English. Video type: News.

Interview recorded at the Planes of Fame museum in Chino, California, with Harry Geier, who presents the collection's A6M5 Zero. He describes it as the only Zero that flies with its original engine.

The aircraft was captured on Saipan in 1944 and taken to the United States for testing, where it was flown by pilots such as Charles Lindbergh. Geier estimates it was built in 1942 or 1943, though he's not certain.

Keeping it airworthy requires constant preventive maintenance, since spare parts are scarce. It also needs to be flown regularly: it takes to the air about four or five times a year.
