History

The Me 262A-2a was the definitive fighter-bomber version, very similar to the A-1a but with the upper cannon pair deleted for weight and balance (some aircraft retained the empty gun ports), and with underfuselage racks for 250 kg or 500 kg bombs. One prototype was built with a TSA bombsight (A-2a/U1), and two with a glazed nose for a bombardier (A-2a/U2).
