Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor F-22A Increment 3.1

Increment 3.1 arrived in 2011 and its main contribution was integration of the Small Diameter Bomb, which multiplied the number of targets a single Raptor could attack in one sortie. The package belongs to the same line of air-to-ground improvements opened by Increment 2. In parallel, the AN/APG-77(V)1 radar, which incorporates air-to-ground modes, was certified in March 2007 and installed on airframes from Lot 5 onward. Also in this period, following the oxygen deprivation problems found across the fleet, F-22s were fitted from 2012 with an automatic backup oxygen system and a modified life support system.
