History
Block 35 was not an airframe change but a software one: upgrading the Block 30 software from version 3.0 to 3.2 allowed full integration of the AIM-9X and AIM-120D missiles and improved the employment options for Small Diameter Bombs. The first aircraft in this configuration, serial number 08-4154, was delivered on 6 August 2009. With Block 30 it formed the combat core of the fleet — 112 of the aircraft delivered to operational units, and 149 once the Common Configuration Plan had modernised Lot 3 onward Block 20 machines.
