Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor F-22A Block 30

Block 30 extended the radar's side detection field with two antennas mounted on the aircraft's flanks, giving it extensive intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capability, the ability to fly suppression of enemy air defence missions and improved air combat performance. Deliveries began in late 2006 and the configuration entered service in 2008. Together with Block 35 it made up the group of 112 combat aircraft delivered to operational units; one Block 30 machine was set aside for flight sciences work at Edwards. After the Common Configuration Plan, which raised Lot 3 onward Block 20 aircraft to this standard, the Block 30/35 fleet reached 149 airframes.
