Short Portuguese-language explainer piece presenting the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk as the first fully operational stealth aircraft and the one that opened the era of stealth aviation.
It runs through its basic dates: first flight in June 1981, entry into service with the US Air Force in 1983, and service until mid-2008, when it was replaced by the F-22. It notes that the program was secret during its early years, to the point that pilots could not tell their families what they worked on.
Of the 64 examples built, only one was lost in combat, during the Yugoslav war. It gives a wingspan of about 13 m, nearly 4 m in height, a top speed of 993 km/h, a range of 1,700 km and a ceiling of around 13,000 m.
