High Flight - Lockheed F-104 Version (Color)

Video from the channel AIRBOYD about Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, linked on its Above Ten Thousand entry. Duration: 2:01. Language: English. Video type: Archive footage.

A Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, in colour footage, flies while a voice recites the poem "High Flight": the airman who slips the surly bonds of earth, climbs toward the sun among clouds, chases the wind through the air and, in the silence of the heights, reaches out and touches the face of God.

The piece combines the text, one of those most closely associated with flight, with the aircraft's manoeuvres, which are the only visual subject.
