A local Vermont television station reports on the arrival of the Collings Foundation's 2018 Wings of Freedom tour at Burlington International Airport. The tour is a traveling exhibition of World War II aircraft: a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, a Consolidated B-24 Liberator, a B-25 Mitchell and a P-51 Mustang.
The nonprofit foundation presents it as a living-history display of the role played by these aircraft and their crews.
The visit was open from 14 to 16 September, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with admission from $5 to $15 and no reservation required; 30-minute flights were also offered.
