History

The Quiet Trader turns the 146's low noise footprint into a business case: night operations at curfew-restricted airports, which is where a regional freighter earns its keep. The 146-200 version carries six standard LD3 containers and a maximum payload of 11,827 kilograms through a cargo door on the left side of the rear fuselage. It was the most successful of the freight versions: for years the 146 QT was the most numerous aircraft in TNT Airways' fleet. The QT airframe also served as the basis for the 146STA military project.
