The Alberta Aviation Museum travels to the Bomber Command Museum of Canada, in Nanton (Alberta), about four hours from Edmonton, to attend an engine run-up day for its Lancaster.

The volunteer archivist explains that the museum is devoted to Bomber Command and the training plan that supported it. It has a memorial with 11,000 names of Canadians, close to a quarter of the country's casualties in the Second World War, half a dozen training aircraft and three bombers. The museum runs its engines, from the Halifax's 14-cylinder Bristol Hercules radials to the Merlins.

The Lancaster is the centrepiece, and the video culminates with its four Merlins running.
