The An-225 airlifts the heaviest single item in history

Antonov Airlines used the An-225 to fly a 174-tonne generator for a new Armenian power plant from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, Germany, to Yerevan. Together with its special frame the load weighed 187.6 tonnes, recognised by Guinness as the heaviest item ever airlifted.
