Did you know…
How much does luggage cost with Aerolíneas Argentinas?
Short answer
It depends on the fare booked, not the route: Aerolíneas Argentinas sells fare families where checked baggage may be included or charged separately. The cheapest fares cover carry-on only, and adding a checked bag costs less when bought online before the flight than at the counter.

A price set by the fare, not the counter
Aerolíneas Argentinas organizes its sales into fare families. The cheapest only include carry-on baggage with maximum dimensions and weight; the mid-range and top fares include one or two checked pieces. That's why the question has no single answer in pesos or dollars: the cost of baggage is already built into some fares and charged as an extra on others. The first step is always to check what allowance comes with the fare purchased.
Cabin and hold
Allowed carry-on baggage follows a size and weight limit designed so the piece fits in the overhead bin, plus one personal item under the seat. In the hold, the price of each additional piece varies depending on whether it's a domestic leg within Argentina, a regional flight to neighboring countries or an intercontinental route: the longer the journey, the higher the charge.
When it pays to buy it in advance
The airline applies prices that rise over time. Buying extra baggage during booking or through online flight management is cheaper than doing so at the airport, where the highest rate applies. Overweight and oversized baggage surcharges also apply, on top of the standard charge.
Common exceptions
Loyalty program members with high-tier status and business class passengers have expanded allowances. Musical instruments, sports equipment and wheelchairs have their own conditions, and mobility aids belonging to a passenger with a disability don't count as baggage.
