The Canadian Bolingbroke
The Bolingbroke was a modified design of the Blenheim, built under licence in Canada by Fairchild Aircraft. Fairchild's Canadian subsidiary, in Quebec, began producing the Blenheim Mk IV under that name. In total, 626 Bolingbroke were built. History of War gives the same figure.
In many air forces
Countries that operated the Blenheim include Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Greece, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Yugoslavia. In 1936 the Finnish Air Force became the Blenheim's first export customer, with an order for 18 Mk I delivered from Britain between June 1937 and July 1938. 55 Blenheim were built in Finland, the last completed in September 1944, bringing its fleet to 97 aircraft: 75 Mk I and 22 Mk IV. After the fall of France in June 1940, Free French aviation was formed at the RAF base at Odiham with the Groupe Mixte de Combat 1, which brought together Blenheim and Westland Lysander liaison aircraft later sent to North Africa.
