A long-range freighter with the Il-96T's capability but Russian PS-90A-2 engines and onboard systems. It can carry up to 92 tonnes of cargo.

History
The first Il-96-400T came from rebuilding the Il-96T assembled in 1997; an entirely new airframe followed in 2007. Commercial work began in 2009 with Polet, which operated three aircraft, but the type never turned a profit and was withdrawn in July 2013. The airframes sat stored at the Voronezh plant until, between 2023 and 2024, two of them (RA-96101 and RA-96103) were overhauled and passed to Sky Gates Airlines. Sanctions on Russia and the resulting shortage of Western aircraft gave the freighter a second life.
