An F-35B crashes at Kirtland during a ferry flight
Accident — A factory-fresh F-35B crashed on take-off from Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, during a refuelling stop on its ferry flight from Fort Worth. The Lockheed Martin test pilot ejected and was seriously injured. The accident briefly halted deliveries and disrupted local electricity supply when the aircraft struck nearby infrastructure.
