  Poland signs the Harpia programme contract for 32 F-35A

  Institutional — Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak signed the contract for thirty-two F-35As under the Harpia programme at Dęblin air base, worth 4.6 billion dollars. It was the first fifth-generation fighter purchase by a former Warsaw Pact member, and came with Poland still operating Soviet-built MiG-29s and Su-22s.
