The B-24 Liberator as the primary heavy bomber in the Pacific

From 1943, the B-24 Liberator became the primary heavy bomber of US Army Air Forces in the Pacific theater, serving with the Fifth, Seventh, Tenth and Fourteenth Air Forces on strategic bombing, maritime patrol and photo-reconnaissance missions against Japanese targets.
