South Korea's first two F-35A arrive at Cheongju

The first two Republic of Korea Air Force F-35As landed at Cheongju air base at 14:35 local time, a week after leaving Luke Air Force Base. South Korea, the programme's third foreign military sales customer after Israel and Japan, had selected the aircraft in 2014 with an order for forty. The arrival made the country the first Lightning II operator on the Korean peninsula.
